Maya is a Clinical Child Psychologist and the Program Director for Hand in Hand Parenting. Over nearly a decade in private practice, Maya worked with parents and young children to bring Hand in Hand’s connection-based, trauma-informed tools to families in their home.

Maya specialized in working with children who had challenging early experiences such as pre-term birth, peri-natal difficulties, medical treatments, separation from caregivers, and other chronic stresses.

Maya is now the Program Director for Hand in Hand Parenting where she supports Hand in Hand’s 182 Certified Instructors who serve families in all 50 US states and DC, in 233 different countries across six continents to bring these tools to parents, educators, and allied professionals.

Maya also directs Hand in Hand’s research program through which Hand in Hand provides training and support for all members of early childhood educational communities to bring these tools into the classroom with connection-based social-emotional learning curricula and professional development training.
